Dayfall to compete in Panama City

DAYFALL
Local rock band Dayfall has been chosen to compete in the Battle of Bands in Panama City, Fla., at the nation's largest music venue, Club La Vela, on Oct. 19-20. Twenty bands were picked as finalists out of a host of many entries. This highly acclaimed event is set to take place on two stages and two nights.

Each band will be judged on presentation, originality, audience participation, band interaction, and individual performance. They will be judged on a one-toten point system. Four judges with ties to the music industry will be present during the battle.

Dayfall emerged on the music scene in January of 2007, and has captured the attention of a vast audience. They are currently performing with an impressive schedule throughout Georgia and South Carolina, becoming regulars at many venues, such as Macon's Power Station and Douglas's Rockin' Roll Bowlin'.

The band members are as follows: Scott Jarrard, vocals; Benji Taylor, guitar; Grayson Johnson, drums; Shane De- Loach, guitar; and Blake Nimmons, bass. Their debut album, "Here I Stand" was recently released and they are currently writing new material and preparing for a tour in 2008.
