Wreck on Main and Main
 | | This wreck occurred on Tuesday, Aug. 28, at 1:05 p.m. on S. Main St. According to a Swainsboro Police Department report, Amanda Wilcher (in Oldsmobile Alero) was traveling north on S. Main St. behind other vehicles. Bernard Callaway (in Kenworth truck) was pulling his vehicle into the turning lane on S. Main St. to make a wide right turn onto E. Main St. Wilcher stopped when she saw that Callaway began to turn right in front of her vehicle. Callaway was apparently unable to complete the turn and began to back the vehicle instead. In doing so, the trailer attached struck Wilcher's vehicle before she was able to get out of the way. Wilcher's vehicle was moderately damaged. Neither driver was injured. (Photo by Wally Gallian.) |
