Memory bench donated to EMC

STEPHANIE STEPHENS FAGLER, JACOB AND LUKE FAGLER, REGIS STEPHENS SAMMONS, JARED SAMMONS, KAYE AND SONNY STEPHENS
A bench was recently donated in memory of W. Garnett and Reba Grace Stephens by their children and grandchildren. The memory bench is located by the front entrance of Emanuel Medical Center and has a brass plaque incorporated in the back with special engraving.

"The Foundation of Emanuel Medical Center's ongoing memory or honor bench program is a very meaningful way to give a lasting gift that pays tribute to others while donating to The Foundation," said Carol Canady, chairperson of the Foundation.

"This is a great project because a park bench beautifies the area with someone's memory and it commemorates the life of a loved one," said Beth Hudson, Foundation coordinator. "Numerous individuals will enjoy the bench for years and years."

According to Mrs. Hudson, a memory or honor bench can be ordered and placed in a special location. The sixfoot black bench is constructed of a material that will not stain, crack, peel, warp or rot. The bench is designed for safety and comfort and requires low/no maintenance.

For more information about the memory or honor bench, or to make a donation to The Foundation of Emanuel Medical Center please contact Beth Hudson, 478-289- 1356 or any Foundation Board Member. Current Foundation Board Members include: Ms. Carol Canady, Ms. Stephanie Flanders, Mr. Sonny Stephens, Mr. G.W. Johnson, Rev. Eugene Davis, Mr. Al Lawson, Jr., Ms. Terri Bray, Ms. Stephanie Fagler, Mr. Denny Key, and Mrs. Daisy Reeves.
