Pittman Scott appointed to board

SCOTT
Swainsboro native Ashley Pittman Scott has been nominated and appointed to a three-year term on the Terry College of Business Alumni board of directors for University of Georgia. She is an alumni of UGA Terry College of Business where she graduated magna cum laude with a BBA in accounting in 1993. She then earned a masters in accounting with a concentration in taxation in 1994.

Scott was a member of Beta Alpha Psi, Accounting Honors Society where she served as president. She received numerous awards and scholarships. She received the Bell Smith Tax Award for Most Outstanding Graduate Student in Tax.

Currently, she is a partner with Pricewaterhouse- Coopers, CPA Firm in the Atlanta office. She has been active in teaching national training classes for interns involved with sales and business development teams, and played a lead role for PricewaterhouseCoopers in their effort to promote financial support among personnel for UGA's accounting and business school. Scott joins her twin sister, Alisa Cleek, as they both sit on the board. This is the first time in the history of the board that two sisters have served together.

Scott is the daughter of Gary and Rhetta Pittman of Swainsboro. She is married to Carr Scott and they have a child, Abram.
