Police Report

Swainsboro police officers reported the following cases:

Aug. 18

An abandoned vehicle was found on Meadowlake Parkway.

Aug. 20

An E. Pine St. woman reported someone entered her vehicle and stole her purse.

A Southside Center employee reported someone busted the rear window to the building. Nothing appeared to be taken except possibly one set of keys.

An E. Main St. man reported someone broke out the right back passenger side window to his vehicle.

AW. Church St. woman reported someone took the screen out of her bathroom window and cracked it open but nothing appeared to be missing.

A W. Pine St. man reported someone broke the front window to his family's residence. Drawers had been rummaged through but nothing appeared to be taken.

A Stillmore woman reported losing her cell phone while shopping at Wal-Mart.

A Coleman Ave., Dublin, man reported a man, who was identified, got into an argument with him. This led to the offender trying to choke him.

A Lee St. woman reported getting into an argument with her husband about money. Her husband choked her and forcibly removed her from the car.

Aug. 21

A Modoc Rd. man reported two men, who were identified, came to his residence threatening him and brandishing a handgun.

A Lucky St. woman reported someone entered her residence by damaging the back door but nothing appeared to be taken.

Aug. 22

A Dixon Enterprise's employee reported witnessing 3 young males, who were not identified, attempting to gain entry to the building by pushing the AC unit out.

A Foodmart employee reported witnessing a woman, who was not identified, conceal a can of air freshener in her purse without paying for it.

A Friendly Way woman reported a woman, who was identified, keeps calling and harassing her.

A Gumlog Rd. woman reported a man, who was identified, keeps following, harassing, and threatening her.

Aug. 23

A Prosperity Dr. man reported a saw fell out of the back of his vehicle and a man, who was identified, picked up the saw and took it.

A Sydney Rd., Metter, woman reported letting two people borrow her vehicle. While they were traveling on Lewis St., a man, who was identified, hit the window on the passenger side which caused the glass to bust and cut the occupants of the vehicle.

A Blun Rd. woman reported someone scratched her vehicle's passenger side door while it was parked in the Harvey's parking lot.

A W. Main St. man reported someone entered his flea market by removing a board that covered a large hole in the wall and stole several items including porcelain dolls, chinese silver dollars, and a large amount of change.

Aug. 24

A Modoc Rd. woman reported her estranged husband keeps following and threatening her that her children will suffer.

A Harvey's Supermarket employee reported witnessing a man conceal three steaks under his shirt and try to leave without paying.

A Brown St. man reported a man, who was identified, got on his computer without his permission and was looking at a sex site.

A Tiger Trail woman reported a man, who was identified, called Daniels Chevrolet and stated that they owed him money and that if he did not get the money, he would remove several items from the vehicle. The CD player, amplifier and speakers were taken out of the vehicle.

Aug. 25

A Lucky St. woman reported someone was beating on her back door earlier and had also removed the screen in an attempt to gain entry.

A Ridge Circle, Dublin, woman reported she left her vehicle parked in the First United Methodist Church parking lot and when she returned to get it, the drivers side back window was busted out. Her XM radio had been stolen.

An Andy's Quick Pick employee reported his game room was broken into and several thousands of dollars in cash had been stolen.

AMoring St. woman reported that she thought her neighbor broke glass and put a powdery substance on her back porch.

Officers were dispatched to an alarm call at D&I Foodmart. Arock that was used to break the glass was found under the candy display but nothing appeared to be taken.

A7th St. woman reported a man, who was identified, had been staying with her but that she wanted him removed from the residence due to an argument.

Aug. 26

An E. MLK Blvd. woman reported someone burglarized her home.

A Subway employee reported a man, who was not identified, tried to gain access to the cash register. She grabbed him and they struggled until the offender fled the building. The offender was last seen running behind Wal-Mart and extra units with dogs were dispatched but the offender was not found.

Aug. 27

An Arden Dr. woman reported someone has been using her social security number and that she is the victim of identity theft.
