Doris Louise Gutwin, 81 SWAINSBORO--Funeral for Doris Louise Hamilton Gutwin, 81, was held in Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, 2007 with Dr. Keith Tipton officiating. Burial was in Ruth's Chapel Cemetery. She died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2007. Mrs. Gutwin was a native of Montgomery County and was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Lee and Elberta Louise Sammons Hamilton; and her husband, Edward Gutwin. She was a retired musician and beautician and was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, Montgomery County. Survivors include three sons, Barry Thompson, Arlington; Brian Thompson, West Palm Beach, Fla.; Neal Thompson, Swainsboro; two daughters, Denise Peed, West Palm Beach, Fla.; Barbra Thompson, North Palm Beach, Fla.; a brother, Jack Hamilton, Lyons; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Brad Peed, Brent Foland, Andy Warren, Lendle Hamilton, Mark Hamilton and Justin Moffett. Sammons Funeral Home of Soperton had charge of arrangements.
