Martha Martin Daniel, 93 SWAINSBORO--Graveside service for Martha Martin Daniel, 93, will be held Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2007 at 10 a.m. in Brewton Cemetery in Hagan with Elder Lindy Webb, Jr. and Jerry Brown officiating. She died Monday, Aug. 20, 2007, at Emanuel Medical Center Nursing Home after an extended illness. Mrs. Daniel was born in Evans County. She graduated from Stillmore High School, attended college in Young Harris, GA and was a retired clerk with the US Federal Court. She was a member of the Hagan First United Methodist Church, a Sunday School teacher, former president of the WMU and the BPW Club and a member of the DAR. She was a volunteer of the American Red Cross and the Claxton Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. C. S. Martin and Della Mae Deloach Martin and her husband, Joe B. Daniel. Survivors include nieces and nephews, Bonnie Rose Smith, Harry Martin and Laura W. Moore all of Kite; and John L. Martin of Swainsboro. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hagan First United Methodist Church, Hagan. Peebles-Curry-Durden Mortuary has charge of arrangements.
