Local band Dayfall releases debut album

Local rock band Dayfall released their debut album with a CD release party at Traditions in Baxley on July 20. Dayfall hit the music scene in January featuring the combined talents of five musicians: Scott Jarrard, frontman and lead singer, delivers powerful vocals. Accompanying him are Grayson Johnson, drums; Shane Deloach,guitar; Ben Taylor,guitar and Blake Nimmons, bass guitar.

They competed in the Battle of the Bands, sponsored by I-95 radio station in Savannah in March. Having never played live, the band took second place prize, which allows them to return next March as the featured guest band. A month later, they competed in the Pinetree Festival week in Swainsboro, winning first place grand prize.

The band has appeared in numerous venues in the state and are anticipating a much more aggressive schedule. Their CD is being aired on many top radio stations throughout the state.
