Doude, Williams to perform at boneyard

MISSISSIPPI JOHN DOUDE
Erin Williams from Lyons will perform a free concert at the Boneyard after the Second Saturday Art Stroll, Aug. 11.

"Williams may be best known for her soulfulstyling at the Emanuel Arts Festival and Jack's Java Cove," said Anthony Faris, co-director of Gallery RFD. "She plays to a loyal following in Lyons and Vidalia and will be performing an acoustic set of original and cover songs starting at 8 p.m. following the Art Stroll.

Mississippi John Doude from Milledgeville will perform at 8:30. "Mississippi John Doude is a unique mixture of blues, country, rock and folk," said Faris. "Doude's original songs are inspired by his Mississippi upbringing and are storytelling at its best. Erin Williams and Mississippi John Doude epitomize the great talents arising in this region of Georgia."

This concert is brought to you by The Downtown Commission for Arts and Commerce (DCAC). The DCAC is a group of organizations interested in promoting live music and commerce in downtown Swainsboro. The DCAC includes The Emanuel Arts Council, Gallery RFD, Daniels Chevrolet, Nordson Corps, Mill Creek Foundation, Radio Jones, The Forest-Blade, The Chamber of Commerce and the GREDC at East Georgia College.
