Gerald Rosby 'Rad' McKenzie III, 30 SWAINSBORO--Funeral for Gerald Rosby "Rad" McKenzie III, 30, was held Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2007 at Swainsboro First Baptist Church with Rev. Louis Pearce officiating. Burial was in Swainsboro City Cemetery. He died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2007. Mr. McKenzie was born in Bibb County but had lived in Swainsboro most of his life. He was employed at Advanced Metal Components of Swainsboro and was a member of Swainsboro First Baptist Church. Survivors include his parents, Kathy Gibson McKenzie and Gerald Rosby McKenzie Jr. of Swainsboro; brother, Ben McKenzie of Statesboro; paternal grandmother, Violet McKenzie of Swainsboro; and maternal grandfather, Ben Gibson of Folkston. Pallbearers were Hank Evans, Mike Ray, Shannon Averett, Walter Rowland, Don Ray, Rob Rankine and Jessie Riggins. Honorary pallbearers were Chuck Martin and employees of Advance Metal Components. Tomlinson Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
