Snell named VP at Tech

Larry Calhoun, president of Swainsboro Technical College (STC), has announced that Peter "Pete" T. Snell has been named the college's vice president of economic development as of Aug. 6. "Pete is coming from Chattahoochee Technical College (CTC) in Marietta where he is currently the Director of Continuing Education. He has been innovative and successful in the economic development area and is a welcome addition to our STC team of professionals," said President Calhoun.

Snell graduated from Florida Atlantic University Boca Raton, Florida in 1994 with a bachelors degree in mathematics. He also earned his masters in public administration from Kennesaw State University in 2003. He is currently working on his Doctorate in Higher education at the University of Georgia.

"I plan on establishing a division that has an energetic positive atmosphere of strong teamwork, work ethic, internal and external customer service, internal and external networking and public relations, and a creativity that will improve the economic development within the area served by Swainsboro Technical College," said Snell. He has been active in the Presidents Leadership Council at CTC, an active member of the Paulding County Chamber of Commerce, the Cobb County Chamber of Commerce and external public relations activities and community events.
