William Barney Roberson, 78 SWAINSBORO--Funeral for William Barney Roberson, 78, was held Thursday, June 28, 2007 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Johnson Funeral Home with Rev. Kelmer Durden officiating. Burial was in Bithynia Baptist Church Cemetery near Swainsboro. He died Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at Carl Vinson VA Medical Center in Dublin following an extended illness. Mr. Roberson was a native and lifelong resident of Emanuel County and attended Garfield School. He was a Baptist. He worked many years at Calvine Mills and later retired from Keller Industries. Survivors include two stepdaughters, Barbara Shirey of Adrian; and Judy Jackson of Swainsboro; and 10 step-grandchildren. Pallbearers were nephews Larry Kersey, Allen Kersey, Stanley Roberson, Randy Roberson, Jamee Roberson, Donald Roberson, Rayball Roberson and Ricky Roberson. Johnson Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
