"These beautiful new cottages are a wonderful addition to our region," said Rep. Parrish. "They enable even more visitors to enjoy the park and our area for a weekend or even a week." The park's four cottages were built using Department of Corrections inmate labor and are Earthcraft certified. Foam insulation allows the park to save money on power bills, and all lights and appliances are energy efficient. The new two-bedroom, two-bath cottages feature an open front porch as well as a screened back porch with limited lake views. All have gas fireplaces and one is ADA accessible. Joining in the celebration were Bill Rogers Jr., Butch Frye, James R. Canady, G.W. Johnson, Russell Hinson, Monica Price, Charles Williams, Frankie Newborn, Becky Kelly, Tim Allmond, Lee Campbell, Chris Brown, Deborah Sammons and Kelly Gladin.
