Webb signs with Brewton Parker
Derek Webb, a 2007 Honor graduate from Swainsboro High School, visited Brewton Parker College on May 30, 2007 and signed a Letter of Intent to play baseball with the Barons during the 2007-2008 season. He will be receiving a baseball scholarship beginning this fall. Derek played varsity baseball for the past four years with the Swainsboro Tigers. He is a 3 AAAll Region pitcher and earned the Pitcher of the Year award with the Tigers during his Jr. and Sr. years. He is a member of Who's Who Among American High School Students and a member of Corinth United Methodist Church. Derek is the son of Dale and Terry Webb of Swainsboro and the grandson of Virginia Hutcheson of Meeks and Jeannette Webb of Swainsboro.
