DEAR EDITOR:

I thought it might be a matter of interest to everyone in Emanuel County that gets service from Altamaha Electric Company that anyone can call and have your power turned off. The reason I know this is because it happened to us, and the manager, James Musgrove, told us that is what they do.

Mind you, they do not ask to speak to the person to whom the account's name is in, they just take down the information and turn it off. We even took proof into the office and Mr. Musgrove would not even look at it and was very rude. I asked who was over him and he said "nobody."

Now, as I stew over this (considering the food that was lost and the inconvenience and hardship another deposit caused), I just feel that something needs to be done about the way they go about business and even the poor way of handling public complaints. After all, we all answer to a higher power. BEN HENRY Soperton
