Charles Larry Wilson, 63

NORRISTOWN--Funeral for Charles Larry Wilson, 63, was held Friday, April 27, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Emanuel Christian Ministries with Rev. Bunny Hudson and Rev. Thomas Parlier officiating. Burial was in Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Norristown. He died Tuesday, April 24, 2007, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro after an extended illness.

Mr. Wilson was born in Laurens County, served in the National Guard and retired from Norfolk- Southern Railways as track supervisor after 31 years of service. He was a member of Norristown Baptist Church and cofounder of Norristown Cause. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Irene Shepard Wilson, daughter; Terri Wilson Youmans and brother, James Wilson.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia McNure Wilson of Norristown; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Darrin Landis of Norristown and their children, Dustin Wilson and Morgan McNure of Norristown; Cherish and Jimmy Brantley of Sumter, S.C.; and Tyler and Bailey Landis of Palm Harbor, Fla.; son and daughter-inlaw, Charlie and Kelly Wilson

of Norristown and their children, Chapman Wilson and Kaylee Wilson of Norristown; son-in-law and wife, Ronnie and Gilda Youmans of Soperton and their children, Necole Youmans, JessiYoumans and Haden Youmans of Soperton; two sisters, Shelba Youmans and Sara Nell Braddy of Swainsboro; two brothers, Brooks Wilson of Norristown; and Carsel Wilson of Orlando, Fla.

Pallbearers were Mitchell Moore, Ray Hutcheson, Tal Henry, Jerry Odom, Timmy Bush, Jamie Henry and Mike Henry. Honorary pallbearers were employees of Emanuel County Sheriff Department and Norfolk- Southern Railway.

Peebles-Curry-Durden Mortuary has charge of arrangements.
