Raising $32,824!

Swainsboro Exchange Club recently concluded its fund-raising project to name the new entrance drive at East Georgia College after Dr. Madison Dixon. Dr. Dixon, a member of Exchange Club since 1951, was a driving force in the community to get EGC located in Emanuel County. The donations will be turned over to the East Georgia College Foundation, and will be used to help construct student housing. Mr. L.C. "Shot" Strange was chair of the Exchange Fund-raising Committee and other committee members were Martin Bridges, Jerry Hooks, Jay Patel, and Mark Williams. Since the photo was taken, additional pledges have been delivered driving the total up to $32,824 for the Exchange project. Pictured left to right are Exchange President Watson Mosley, Dr. Madison Dixon, EGC President Dr. John Black, Project Chair Shot Strange, and EGC Development Director Danny Palmer.
