Sheriff's Report

Emanuel County Sheriff's deputies reported the following cases:

March 16

A woman on Speedway Loop reported she came to get child support from her husband and he slapped her and threw her out of the house.

March 17

A woman driving on Hwy. 56 reported hitting a deer.

March 18

William Douglas, 18, 104 Overstreet Rd. Lot 5, Swainsboro was arrested for disorderly conduct.

A Price Williams Rd., Kite man reported his estranged wife stole his Smith & Wesson pistol from his home. Suspect, who is a convicted felon, was questioned by deputy if she had pawned the gun. Suspect said she had not and instead had put the gun in a tool box of victim's truck, got drunk, and drove all over town.

March 19

Owner of Golden Ace in Oak Park reported a man, who was identified, caused damage in the men's bathroom.

Employee at Junction Station in Norristown reported someone pumped $37 in gas and did not pay.

Employee at Aaron's Sales and Leasing reported a man, who was identified, leased an MP-3 player from the store and then pawned the item at Tom's Pawn Central.

A McMillan Dr. woman reported a woman, who was identified, had been stealing her checks from her wallet and forging them. Case file opened.

March 20

ACanoochee Rd. woman reported a man, whom she identified as a registered sex offender, had previously lived with her daughter and granddaughter. Victim said suspect threatened to kill victim's husband.

A man at Emanuel Medical Center reported his vehicle was stolen.

A Stingray Rd. woman reported her estranged husband keeps harassing her.

Owner at The Trading Post in Twin City woman reported a man, who was identified, charged some items at the store and when she questioned him about it he became abusive. Victim said she does not want this man on her property again. The daughter of the owner of the store also made a report and stated she went to see the suspect about the incident and threw hot coffee on her.

Deputy reported an intoxicated man with no identification had nowhere to go. Deputy checked him into the Sunset Inn.

Benjamin Lee Hall, 22, 229 McKenzie Dr., Swainsboro was arrested for shoplifting and disorderly conduct.

March 21

A man at Budget Inn reported another man, who was identified, was harassing him so he punched him.

Employee at Farm Bureau reported someone broke into the building and stole loose change.

Deputy reported an abandoned vehicle on Old Dellwood Rd.

A Hwy. 23 S., Twin City woman reported her estranged husband stole her vehicle tag.

A Lambs Bridge Rd. man reported getting into a fight with his neighbor.

A man driving on Wadley Coleman Lake Rd. reported hitting a deer.

A Rainbow Ridge woman reported someone locked her keys in her car while she was away.

An Overstreet Rd. woman reported a man, who was identified, entered her home and attacked her. Suspect is wanted for battery, criminal trespassing and hindering an emergency call.

March 22

Employee at DNI food store on N. Main St. reported a man, who was identified, forgot to remove the gas hose from his car and drove off. Hose was damaged.

A Jerome St. woman reported someone scratched her vehicle.

Awoman at Wal-Mart reported she left her wallet in the shopping cart and when she returned, it was missing.

Employee at Enmark reported someone pumped $33.70 in gas and did not pay.A

man driving on Hwy. 80 E. reported hitting a deer.

A woman at Crider Poultry reported someone entered her car and stole a CD player and some cash.

An informant reported to a deputy that a theft had taken place at T&T Electric. Informant said suspects stole a tool box and sold it.

March 23

Employee at Herrington Homestead reported someone damaged a mobile home.

A McKenzie Dr. man reported he was bitten by a dog.

A man on N. Main St. reported a man, who was identified, hit him on his face with his fist while they were driving in a car. Suspect hit a tree and fled on foot, leaving victim in the car.A

Hwy. 1 S., Twin City woman reported her husband came home drunk and attacked her.

March 24

A Davis Rd., Swainsboro man reported a woman, who was identified, was trespassing.

ACypress Ave., Stillmore woman reported a man, who was identified, borrowed her vehicle and has not returned it.

A Harrington Cemetery Rd., Swainsboro man reported a man, who was identified, borrowed his truck and has not returned it. (Truck was returned March 25.)

Jesse James Boxton, 37, Joe Womack Rd., Garfield, was arrested for public drunk.

A woman driving on Hawhammock Church Rd. reported a male motorist, who was identified, pulled her over and started hitting and kicking her vehicle.

An Old Saw Rd., Midville man reported a man, who was identified, was trespassing.

An Old Wadley Rd. woman reported a woman, who was identified, threatened to hurt her and her family.

A Womack Rd., Twin City woman reported she lost her wallet in Swainsboro.

March 25

Parker Thomas McCain, 28, 28 Summertown Smith St., Midville and Cody Shane Hayslip, 18, 10 Summertown Smith St., Midville, were arrested for disorderly conduct. Incident happened at Harmon Park when a victim reported the two males attacked him.

A Millen man reported a man, who was identified, damaged his vehicle. A Statesboro man and woman reported the same incident.

A man driving on Hwy. 56 N. reported hitting a deer.

A woman driving on Hwy. 56 N. reported hitting a dog.
