Dayfall wins second in band I-95 battle

Members of the Emanuel County band Dayfall competed in the I- 95 Rock of Savannah Battle of the Bands Friday, March 16, on River Street in Savannah. The competition was part of the St. Patrick's Celebration on historic River Street, hosted by the Savannah Waterfront Association.
Band members submitted their bio along with their music to the I-95 radio station for consideration in the competition. They were one of seven bands chosen to compete for the prizes. Dayfall was awarded second place, and received a $500 cash prize. In addition, the band was invited to return to Savannah for the 2008 St. Patrick's Day Festival, as a paid performing guest.
The newly formed band consists of Grayson Johnson and
Shane Deloach, formerly of the Swainsboro band From Never; Blake Nimmons of
Swainsboro; and Scott Jarrard and Benji Taylor of Hazlehurst. Their music is
currently being played on Swainsboro's E 98.1, Georgia Southern's 91.9 The Buzz
in Statesboro, and 107.7 The Fox in Brunswick.
