Cecil Homer Fagler, 87

SWAINSBORO--Funeral for Cecil Homer Fagler, 87, was held Monday, March 12, 2007 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Peebles-Curry Durden Mortuary with Rev. Louis Pearce officiating. Burial was in Swainsboro City Cemetery with military honors. He died Saturday, March 10, 2007, at the Veteran's Administration Medical Center in Augusta.

Mr. Fagler was a native of Emanuel County, owned and operated Fagler Auto Sales and was a World War II Navy veteran. He was Baptist and a member of the V. F. W. and was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Callie Davis Fagler; and a son, Ted H. Fagler.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Brown Fagler of Swainsboro; a daughter and son-in-law, Bobbie Fagler Faircloth and Dwight Faircloth of Macon; a daughter-in-law, Connie Fagler of Statesboro; a stepson and daughter-inlaw, Tony and Angela Hicks of Garfield; a sister, Margaret Reyes of Savannah; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Chris Faircloth, Todd Faircloth, Tyson Stephens Bobby Lewis, Don Wilkes, Vance Reyes.

Peebles-Curry-Durden Mortuary had charge of arrangements.
