Drug arrests made

INVESTIGATOR JOSH ALFORD, SHERIFF TYSON STEPHENS, TFC DENNY GARDNER, ASAC ALAN WATSON, TFC DAVID LAWRENCE AND SPECIAL AGENT JOE LANE WITH SEIZED DRUGS
Emanuel County Sheriff's Office along with agents from the East Central Georgia Drug Task Force, GBI, Georgia State Patrol and Swainsboro Police Department made two unrelated drug arrests during the President's Day holiday weekend, seizing $18,000 in illegal drugs.

On Sunday, Feb. 18 at around 5:20 p.m., Sarvarrio A. Thomas, 22, of Macon was arrested as the result of a traffic stop on I- 16. Thomas was found to be in possession of approximately eight (8) ounces of suspected marijuana as well as scales. He was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute; and failure to move over for an emergency vehicle.

Also on Sunday, Feb. 18 at around 10:00 p.m. Jamichael J. Walker, 18, of Swainsboro was arrested as a result of officers investigating a vehicle parked on private property. Walker was found to be in possession of approximately $10,000 worth of suspected Ecstasy, two handguns, $5,000 worth of suspected cocaine, and $2,500 worth of suspected marijuana. He was charged with trafficking Ecstasy; possession of marijuana with intent to distribute; possession of cocaine; and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

Both suspects are currently being held in Emanuel County Jail.
