Vondell Jackson Snipes, 83 STILLMORE--Graveside service for Vondell Jackson Snipes, 83, was held Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2007 in the Stillmore City Cemetery at 11 a.m. She died Saturday, Feb. 3, 2007 at Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Center in Statesboro. Mrs. Snipes was a Toombs County native who worked as a seamstress for several years with Twin City Manufacturing and retired from Swainsboro Sportswear. She loved to cook, spend time in her yards, and feeding and watching her birds. She was predeceased by her parents, Benjamin and Georgia Davis Jackson; husband, Ivey Lee Snipes; and a daughter, Robbie Lee Snipes Banks. Survivors include a daughter, Merle Snipes Wilson of Stillmore; grandchildren, Donna Wilson, Greg Wilson, and David Wilson; greatgrandchildren, Wyndell Ivey West and Katelyn Grace Wilson; a brother, George Nevils Jackson of Plant City, Fla; and a sister, Vera Brown of Gastonia, N.C. Morgan Family Funeral Home of Metter had charge of arrangements.
