To be noted The East Georgia College wrestling team traveled to Macon to participate in the Georgia State Dual Wrestling Tournament on Saturday, Jan. 20. The day started off with difficulty as the Bobcats dropped the first match to a powerful Kennesaw State squad, 45- 9. However, the grapplers then wrestled their best matches of the day to defeat the Mercer Bears 24-16. In that match, Logan Brantley (133) and Caleb Wickstrom (184) drew crucial forfeits, each worth six team points, and Michael Durden (235) and Chris Wickstrom (285) followed with pins to clinch the win. Gordon College then eliminated the Bobcats from the double-elimination tournament, 24-10.
