John B. Creech, 69 STILLMORE--Funeral for John B. Creech, 69, was held Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Tomlinson Funeral Home with Rev. George Archer and Rev. Louis Pearce officiating. Burial was in Stillmore City Cemetery. He died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007 at East Georgia Regional Hospital in Statesboro. Mr. Creech was born in Emanuel County and lived here since 1979 after retiring from the United States Navy as chief petty officer. He had been a night watchman for the city of Stillmore for nine years and also worked for David Emanuel Academy for several years. He was a member of North American Fishing Association. Survivors include his wife, Frances Creech of Stillmore; a daughter, Julie Hindman of Greer, S.C.; two sons, Jim Creech of Swainsboro; and Tim Creech of Williamsburg, Va.; a sister-in-law, Judy Earls of Stillmore; six grandchildren, Mark, Candace and Dwayne Gallagher; Timothy Harold Creech Jr. and Johnathon and Lauren Creech; three great-grandchildren, Kayla and Ryan Creech; and Bree'Anna Gallagher; and four nephews. Honorary Pallbearers were Keith Slater, Paul Hudson, Pete Hudson, Tommy Clark, David Lamb and Jerry Johnson. Tomlinson Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
