DEAR EDITOR:

My name is Phyllis Jones Strobridge, a citizen of Swainsboro my entire life and a small business entrepreneur. I've operated Kiddie Kampus Learning Center for 19 years and seven months. I give thanks and glory to God and all others that made this possible. I especially thank Mrs. Elizabeth Gilmer senior vice president of Durden Banking Company, for allowing me the opportunity to make my dream come true. She trusted me and gave me a chance to obtain my dream of teaching, loving and providing an haven for children.

My life has been a struggle and I thank God for every trial and tribulation that I've gone through. People see the glory, but don't know my story. I have a story! I was determined and refused to allow obstacles to deter me. It was hard, but I didn't quit. We can have what we want in life, but we must put God first and work for what we want. Nothing in life is free. Don't be envious and jealous of anyone. Wait your turn and allow God to bless you.

Be careful about what you say about people, We might be up today, but we don't know where we will be tomorrow or who will need help. Life isn't fair, but we must treat people the way we want to be treated, regardless of how they treat you. I'm a loving, caring, kind individual and most times I'm taken for granted. Try to be loving, respectful and grateful for what you have and thank God for the little things. He will increase your territory.

Remember: Some people succeed because they are destined to, but most people succeed because they are determined to. PHYLLIS STROBRIDGE Swainsboro
