Samuels elected to school board

REV. SAMUELS
Rev. Ella Mae Samuels, formerly of Swainsboro, was elected to the Mc- Duffie County School Board during the recent General Election.

Rev. Samuels, formerly Ella Mae Smiley, served as secretary to the principal of Twin City Primary School for 20 years and served as paraprofessional and secretary at Summertown Elementary School for several years. She is currently serving as Presiding Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church where she supervises a total of 39 churches and 27 pastors.

Rev. Samuels is married to Junnie Samuels of Thomson and is mother of Keith Mincey of Fremont, Calif.; LaQuita Mincey Alston of Rocky Mount, N.C.; and Vincent Lamont Mincey of Upper Marlboro, Md., all of whom are graduates of Swainsboro High School. Rev. Samuels also has six grandchildren. She lives in Thomson.
