      Gary Community families are invited to Gary Memories Day Saturday, Jan. 20 beginning at 11 a.m. with "Meet and Greet" at the Woodmen of the World Building on Canoochee Road with a basket lunch at 12:30 p.m. The history program of Gary will begin at 1:30 p.m.

Altercation after parade

      According to Police Chief Johnny Shuman, an altercation involving two females occurred at the intersection of Racetrack and Church streets after the Martin Luther King Day Parade Monday, Jan. 15. Jaquise Williams was charged with failure to render assistance and leaving the scene.
