Investigators from the Sheriff's Office began a criminal investigation into the matter at this time. As a result, investigators were able to determine that the call to the school had been made by a black female using the payphone at a South Main Street convenience store. Surveillance video from the store provided investigators with both a description of the caller and of her vehicle. That vehicle was spotted later in the day by Investigator Rocky Davis as it pulled up to a red light next to the courthouse. The driver of the vehicle, who was identified as Tatyana Renette Leverett, 19, was later determined to be the caller. She was arrested without incident and charged with Terroristic Threats and Acts. She is currently being held in the Emanuel County Jail.
