Larry “Rooster” Howell, 63 SWAINSBORO—Funeral for Larry “Rooster” Howell was held Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006 at 3 p.m. in chapel of Tomlinson Funeral Home with Rev. Kelmer Duren and Rev. Donnie Bush officiating. Burial was in the Moxley Cemetery on Old Wadley Road in Swainsboro. He died Monday, Dec. 11, 2006, as the result of a motor vehicle accident. Mr. Howell was born in Vidalia and had lived in Hinesville before moving to Swainsboro 36 years ago. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and was employed as an attendant for West Main BP. Survivors include his wife, Sheila Price Howell; son Thomas Alex Howell; three brothers, Bobby Howell of Hinesville; Jerry Howell of Ridgeland, S.C.; and John Howell of Jesup; and two sisters, Kay Niblock and Linda Bascher of Aurora, Col. Pallbearers were Lee Page, Chris Page, Carlton Jones, Mike Bush, Ralph Akridge, and Holland Hairr. Tomlinson Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
