Letters To The Editor

DEAR EDITOR:

Every day I ride through our small town and marvel at it's beauty. We (Emanuel Countians) have so much to be thankful for. New industries, fabulous schools, great leadership, wonderful arts council and the blessing of wonderful, caring friendships.

It hurts me when I hear people say "Well you know Swainsboro", as if it is a curse. Well, I do know Swainsboro, and our city is a blessing.

It is beautiful here. Our court house square and bone yard is all lit up for the holidays. Please take time to go there, sit, look around, and behold the beauty here. If you don't have the holiday spirit, I promise you will when you leave.

We have new shops downtown. A quaint coffee shop, new boutiques, and

several little downtown enterprises. I implore all of you to visit them, support them, and make them feel welcome.

As we embark on the holiday season, let's all take time to look around and see the beauty we have around us, to enjoy it, and to be proud of our community. I am so glad I live here! SANDRA MCCUEN Swainsboro
