Santa Claus visits Tech!

Area children were invited to visit with Santa Claus at Swainsboro Technical College recently. Parents and approximately 200 children participated as the children took turns telling Santa Claus what they wanted for Christmas. As each child climbed on Santa’s knee, a snapshot was taken and given to them as a memento with a gift from Santa.

Leisa Dukes, Career

Services coordinator, was in charge of preparations for the visit. “The Christmas season is such a special time of the year; and occasions such as this help to make it an enjoyable memory for our children,” said Dukes. “This gives our College an opportunity to share the Christmas spirit with the citizens of our service area, not only to see Santa, but also to visit Swainsboro Technical College. We appreciate all the families that came out and participated in Santa’s visit. Anytime we can involve the citizens in our area in the activities on campus, it provides us an opportunity to demonstrate some of the resources available at Swainsboro Technical College.”
