Brianna Reese Wimberly, No. 36, is newest family member to wear heirloom slip
Brianna Reese Wimberly, daughter of Chuck and Roxanne Bell Wimberly of Louisville, continues the heirloom slip tradition. The tradition, which includes the fifth generation, began in 1915 with the late Maggie Lee Allen Bishop being the first baby to be photographed at the age of six months and 20 days in the slip, which was made by her mother, the late Mrs. J.M. Allen. Since then thirty six children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren and great, great, great grandchildren of the late Mr. and Mrs. Allen have been photographed in the slip at the age of six months and 20 days.
Brianna Reese Wimberly is the granddaughter of Nell Bishop Bell and the late John Inman Bell and Jane R. Wimberly of Wadley and the late Charles Wimberly, Sr. She is the great granddaughter of the late Wesley and Maggie Lee A. Bishop and the great, great granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Allen.
