Cuma W. Holton, 93 SWAINSBORO--Funeral for Cuma W. Holton, 93, was held in the chapel of Sammons Funeral Home in Soperton at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21, with the Rev. Morris Brantley officiating. Burial was in Herrington Cemetery, Emanuel County. She died Sunday, Nov. 19. Mrs. Holton was a native of Emanuel County and a daughter of the late John Wesley and Mary Herrington Wilkes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Romanus Holton; sons, Aldred and Melvin Holton and 11 siblings. She was a member of Holton Chapel Advent Christian Church and lived to see five generations four times over. Survivors include two daughters, Cebral Thigpen of Swainsboro; and Cuby Dudley of Evans; seven grandchildren, 15 greatgrandchildren, four greatgreat grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Keith Saxon, Brian Boyd, Brandon Davis, Kendall Gray, Charles Wilkes, Don Wilkes and Jimmy Glover. Sammons Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
