Harry R. Hicks, 80 SWAINSBORO--Funeral for Harry R. Hicks, 80, was held Thursday, Nov. 16, 2006 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Peebles-Curry- Durden Mortuary with Rev. Phil Wilson officiating. Burial was in Swainsboro City Cemetery. He died Monday, Nov. 13, 2006, at the Emanuel Medical Center after an extended illness. Mr. Hicks was a native of Emanuel County, a World War II Army veteran and owner and operator of Hicks Photography Studio. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roney H. and Addie Lee Stroud Hicks; his wife, Eulemer Marsh Hicks; and son, Roney Harry Hicks III. Survivors include two daughters and sons-inlaw, Harriett L. and Melvin Nunn and Carol Ann and Robert Arrington of Swainsboro; one stepson, Mike Broadway of Thomson; his loving companion, Mary Patrevito of Swainsboro; nine grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren. Pallbearers were Ricky Hooks, Charles Drake, Mann Marsh, Keith Slater, Mark Derden, Bobby Newman and Don Bedgood. Peebles-Curry-Durden Mortuary had charge of arrangements.
