Ernest Nunley and Wittel Nunley are a father-and-son team on a mission to bring awareness and raise money for research for children's diseases. The pair are helped by numerous local donations and sponsors. Also on the trail with them are Frank McIntyre, public relations manager, cook and driver; and Ray Patterson, caretaker of the horses. The Nunleys rotate riding three geldings and a mare. The ride began Nov. 7 on Tybee Island and will end Nov. 23 in Tallapoosa. Anyone wishing to donate to Cowboys for Cures, Inc. can send donations to Cowboys for Cures, Inc., 2571 Cashtown Road, Bremen, GA 30110. Money raised will be shared by St. Jude Children's Hospital and the Children's Hospital in Atlanta.
