Historic Preservation Society to hold presentation Jan. 22

On January 22 the Emanuel County Historic Preservation Society will hold thier regular quarterly meeting of the society beginning at 7 p.m. at the Varner 4-H Center in Swainsboro. A special presentation will be held in conjunction with the meeting.

Special guest, Ms. Jan Anderson, will give a presentation on her project to restore a one-room schoolhouse in Statesboro. It has been beautifully restored and furnished with period school items.

Everyone is invited to attend, especially teachers, retired or active. Members and guests are asked to bring a covered dish, vegetable, salad or dessert. Meat will be provided.
